The Yoga Rewild Cycle

A yoga framework for aligning inner rhythms with the cyclical energies of Mother Earth — supporting creative flow and embodied living.

Yoga Rewild Cycle course at the Bristol Goddess Temple

The Yoga Rewild Cycle is a 4-week embodied course designed to help you tune into your natural rhythms and build a home yoga practice that honours your energy cycles, your menstrual cycle (if relevant), the moon, the seasons, the Wheel of the Year, and the sacred life cycles of Mother Earth.

Instead of pushing yourself to follow the same routine each day, you’ll be encouraged to listen inward — moving, resting, and growing in harmony with your natural rhythms. Through the Yoga Rewild Cycle, you’ll learn how to build a daily yoga practice that meets you where you are, supported by gentle structure and inspired by creative, intuitive expression.

Have you attended plenty of yoga classes but struggled to get on the mat at home?
Or perhaps you practise regularly but feel reliant on videos or fixed sequences?

Would you like to build a home yoga practice that’s attuned to your life rhythm and changing energy levels — supporting creative flow and wellbeing?

You don’t need to train as a yoga teacher to do this.

You simply need a framework — and the Yoga Rewild Cycle offers exactly that.

What You’ll Explore

Over four weeks, you’ll explore how:

  • The seasons and Wheel of the Year festivals mirror your inner landscape

  • The moon influences energy, emotions, and the flow of water within you

  • Your menstrual cycle (if relevant) and energy cycles reflect life–death–life rhythms

  • The elements guide phases of growth, strength, release, and rest

  • The chakras offer insight into where energy is held, expressed, and transformed

You’ll also work with archetypes such as the Inner Child, Wild Self, and Wise Self, discovering how these parts live within you and how they shape your practice.

Through movement, breath, reflection, and ritual, you’ll learn how to adapt your yoga practice to where you are in your cycle — physically, emotionally, energetically, and spiritually.

Yoga Rewild - a cyclical yoga practice

The Yoga Rewild Cycle Course (a glimpse)

Week 1 – The Seasons, Your Inner Landscape & the Inner Child

Earth → Air → Fire | Inner Child | Heart Space
Explore how the seasons of nature reflect your inner world, beginning in winter stillness and moving toward spring’s growth and possibility.

Week 2 – The Moon, Rising Energy & the Wild Self

Fire → Water | Strength | Creative power
Discover how the lunar cycle influences light, water, and energy, and explore ways to warm and channel energy through phases of growth and expansion.

Week 3 – The Tree Cycle & the Wise Self

Water → Earth | Holding boundaries | Release
This week centres on transition, tension, and inner wisdom — including PMS, perimenopause, and menopause as powerful thresholds. Rooted in the tree’s cycle of growth, shedding, and renewal, we explore the art of holding boundaries, releasing what no longer serves, and letting creativity flow like water as an expression of the inner wild.

Week 4 – Composting, Letting Go & Winter Wisdom

Earth → Air | Rest | Renewal
We return to winter, learning how rest and release create fertile ground for new growth, reconnecting to our roots, our ancestors, and the spirit of the land.

The full experience unfolds in the space — not just on the page.

How It Works

Each session weaves together guided yoga, breathwork, reflective prompts, seasonal teachings, gentle ritual, creative exploration, and a mini sound relaxation.

You’ll be encouraged to build a home practice that is realistic and sustainable — even 5 minutes counts. This course is about consistency, connection, and learning how to meet yourself as you are, rather than getting it “right”.

A key part of the Yoga Rewild Cycle is learning how to practise without relying on a screen — using cyclical guidance and your own inner listening to shape a daily practice that can evolve with you.

Why This Framework

The most common challenge I’ve experienced — and hear from students again and again — is not knowing where to start, or how to adapt yoga to individual needs and rhythms. When we learn to do this, our practice can support us through the seasons, changing energy levels and life phases, while also nourishing our creative flow.

You don’t need to train as a yoga teacher to learn this way of practising yoga.

You simply need a framework — and the Yoga Rewild Cycle offers exactly that.

The Yoga Rewild Cycle has evolved from over 20 years of personal yoga practice and more than 5 years of teaching. It brings together 40 poses mapped across the four seasons, weaving in the lunar and menstrual cycles, the Wheel of the Year festivals, the chakras and their associated mantras, and three key archetypes that guide you through the phases of the Cycle.

I designed the Yoga Rewild Cycle as a living framework, and then collaborated with Charlotte Macmillan-Scott, who created the beautiful illustrated version that will be used throughout this course.

Each participant will receive their own copy of the Yoga Rewild Cycle. This cyclical framework offers enough structure to support consistency, alongside enough creative freedom to keep your practice intuitive, responsive, and continually evolving.

Meet the facilitator

Ailie Tam (PhD) cyclical yoga practitioner, teacher, sound therapist and founder of Yoga Rewild

Hi, I’m Ailie, founder of Yoga Rewild. I’m a cycle-based yoga practitioner with a Doctorate in Sexual and Reproductive Health Behaviour, and over two decades of personal yoga practice.

Before completing my doctorate, I trained as a social worker and worked in the field of health behaviour for over ten years. Alongside two yoga teacher training qualifications, I have completed further training in Indian head massage, Reiki, counselling, trauma-informed yoga, and sound therapy, bringing together embodied, therapeutic, and relational approaches. I am currently undertaking the Priestess of the Veiled Hinterland training spiral with the Bristol Goddess Temple.

Ailie Tam (PhD) cyclical yoga practitioner, teacher, sound therapist and founder of Yoga Rewild

My work weaves embodied movement, cycle awareness, and earth-based wisdom, informed by both professional practice and lived experience. Over the past two decades, I have adapted my yoga practice in response to my menstrual cycle, the seasons, the lunar phases, and significant life experiences, including illness, injury, pregnancy, childbirth, and miscarriage. Through this lived experience, I came to recognise that many forms of yoga do not make space for cyclical rhythm, creative interpretation, or meaningful adaptation to individual needs.

It was only when I began teaching in 2020 that I fully realised how constrained my own ideas of yoga had been — and how powerful practice can be when it supports attunement to personal and planetary rhythms rather than fixed forms.

Over the past five years, my teaching has focused on supporting people to ground, reconnect, and listen — to their bodies, their energy, and the living world — through movement, sound, ritual, and ceremony. From this, I developed the Yoga Rewild Cycle as a practical framework to share the inspiration and approach I use to design and evolve yoga practices. It supports individuals to cultivate an intuitive, attuned home practice that fosters self-awareness, resilience, and meaningful alignment with one’s inner and outer worlds.
